INDEPENDENCE, Mo. (KCTV) - A 20-year-old from Lee’s Summit could see 60 years behind bars after he was allegedly found in possession of child pornography.

Jackson County, Missouri, Circuit Court records filed on Monday, March 3, indicate that James C. Easley, 21, of Lee’s Summit, has been charged with multiple child sex crimes.

A criminal complaint filed by the Prosecutor’s Office revealed that on April 18, 2024, Easley allegedly had multiple digital files of child pornography. As a result, he was charged with four counts of possession of child pornography.

If convicted, Easley could face up to 60 years behind bars. An arraignment has been scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on April 3. No further information has been released.
