KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Kansas City’s Red Robin fans have been assured that they will be able to continue to enjoy bottomless fries and campfire sauce as none of the metro locations are expected to close.

On Friday, March 7, poor corporate earnings report, those in the Kansas City area are expected to remain open.

According to Red Robin, the Kansas City locations are all owned and operated by franchisee PB&J Restaurants, which has no planned closures at this time. This entity runs separately from Red Robin Gourmet Burgers.

Red Robin Gourmet Burgers announced earlier in the week that all corporate-owned locations could be subject to closure over the next five years following a $77.5 million loss in 2024. However, corporate officials noted that more than 300 of its locations continue to perform well under efforts to transform the business.

“We are actively working to improve the performance of the underperforming locations, build sales and turn profitable, which may reduce closures,” Kathleen Bush, Vice President of Marketing & Brand Development, told KCTV5. “Therefore, we are not sharing locations publicly at this time.”

As reported in the Q4 earnings, Red Robin noted that it has continued to beat expectations.

“This gives us confidence as we look ahead, and we expect to continue that progress in 2025 as we introduce more guests to the new and improved Red Robin,” Bush concluded.
