KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - As spring sets in, so does Kansas City’s wildlife - community have been invited to learn what to do when those interactions turn personal.

The Missouri Department of Conservation says that while many interactions between wildlife and Kansas Citians are positive, some can be alarming or call for an intervention.

Community have been invited to learn more about wildlife interactions and solutions between 6 and 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 18, at the Anita B. Gorman Discovery Center, 4750 Troost Ave.

Conservationists noted that attendees will learn about common wildlife interactions and how to handle them. Educators will teach participants why some animals behave the way they do, how to safely handle nuisance behaviors and animals in distress, and how to recognize when wildlife is best left alone.

Conservation leaders indicated that attendees will also be part of a discussion on laws that relate to wildlife interactions.

MDC said the class is open to anyone ages 18 and up, however, registration is required. Those interested can sign up HERE.
