‘It’s been 11 years’: Cat lost in Wisconsin reunited with owner hundreds of miles away

Rutherford the cat first disappeared from his home in Wisconsin in 2013. Years later, he was found over 800 miles from home in Georgia. Now, he is going home.

(InvestigateTV) — Many cat owners know their feline friends as lovable but elusive.

According to researchers at the University of Queensland in Australia, 15% of cat owners will lose their pets at least once in a five-year period.

Most missing cats are found within a little more than a quarter mile from their point of escape.

A man recently reunited with his cat who wasn’t found down the street but hundreds of miles away in another state.

Reporter Joshua Skinner was there when they came together after 11 years apart.
