Fiery explosion in Northland neighborhood damages Kansas City home

The fire department said no injuries were reported, but firefighters were still battling the flames 90 minutes after arriving at the fire.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Firefighters rushed to a fiery explosion in a Northland neighborhood Wednesday afternoon.

The explosion happened shortly before 3 p.m. near NE 42nd Street and North Hardesty Avenue.

The fire department said no injuries were reported, but firefighters were still battling the flames 90 minutes after arriving at the fire.

The cause of the explosion and fire are under investigation.
