KANSAS CITY, Kan. (KCTV) - Baseball players in the Kansas City metro have been invited to test their skills during tryouts for one of the area’s professional teams.

The Kansas City Monarchs have announced that Tryout Camp is the perfect chance for area hopefuls to try their hand at professional baseball. All comers have been invited to Legends Field for a chance to compete for a spot on the 2025 roster.

Team leaders noted that the camp is expected to be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 29, with registration at 1 p.m. Those interested are required to online ahead of time HERE and pay the $175 registration fee.

Players have been urged to bring their own equipment, including bats, gloves, cleats, protective gear, food and anything else needed to show their skills. Baseballs and water will be provided.

The Monarchs indicated that manager Joe Calfapietra and coaching staff will be on hand to evaluate potential players and build the 2025 roster. Players with questions can call 913-328-5618.

The Monarchs noted that the 2025 season opens at Legends Field on May 9. Tickets are now on sale HERE.
