Tree falls on moving car in Blue Springs, driver taken to hospital

BLUE SPRINGS, Mo. (KCTV) - Traffic was brought to a halt in Blue Springs after a tree fell on a moving car and sent the driver to a nearby hospital during a severe storm.
The Blue Springs, Missouri, Police Department announced around 4:30 p.m. on Friday, March 14, that Duncan Rd. was closed between Saunders and 12th St. as crews cleared the scene of a crash.
Law enforcement officials noted that a tree fell onto a moving car, bringing traffic to a halt. The driver was taken to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries.
As of 7:20 p.m., first responders said the roadway had reopened.
