PARKVILLE, Mo. (KCTV) - A person was injured on Tuesday morning after the truck he was driving was struck by a train.
The Parkville Police Department stated that a truck was leaving a business in the 7600 block of Northwest River Park Drive just after 9:30 a.m. when it approached the railroad tracks.
Capt. Jon Jordan told KCTV5 he believed the driver pulled too far forward and a train struck the front of the vehicle. There is no barrier at the crossing in front of the business.

The driver was taken to a hospital with minor injuries, and the railroad tracks were reopened an hour later.
A witness told KCTV5 the truck was thrown and flipped after being struck by the train.
