KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Three Kansas City men now face federal charges after they were accused of an inter-state conspiracy to burglarize stores and sell the stolen goods.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Missouri announced on Wednesday, March 19, that Gary Bailey, 24, Jermaine Threat, 25, and Dalvin Poindexter, 26, have all been indicted for their roles in an inter-state conspiracy to burglarize beauty product and liquor stores.

Court documents indicated that Bailey, Threat and Poindexter allegedly stole hundreds of thousands of dollars in merchandise during a string of burglaries across 7 states between March 2023 and January 2024.

The indictment alleged that the three targeted beauty supply and liquor stores in Missouri, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska, Indiana and Texas. They smashed the storefront door or window to enter after hours and took fragrances, cosmetics, liquor and more.

According to court records, Bailey, Threat and Poindexter used posts on Facebook Marketplace and Facebook Stories as well as a group chat to sell the stolen goods. They received payments in cash or through peer-to-peer payment services like CashApp. They also kept some of the stolen items for themselves as well as friends and family.

In addition to the conspiracy, law enforcement officials revealed the three have been charged with seven counts of transporting stolen property across state lines. As of Wednesday, no further information has been released.
