Late night fire in rural Cass County leaves two dead

GARDEN CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Cass County Sheriff’s Office deputies and the Garden City Fire Department responded to a fire around 10:47 p.m. on March 30, which left two dead.
When deputies arrived on the scene at S. O’Bannon Road, the residence was overtaken by flames.

They could not enter the residence because of the fire and heavy smoke. Emergency responders arrived and located the two victims.
The cause is under investigation by the Missouri State Fire Marshall and Cass County Fire Investigation Team.
