(Gray Media) – Country singer Morgan Wallen was the musical guest on “Saturday Night Live” this weekend, but it’s not his performance that people are talking about. Instead, it’s the way he abruptly left the stage before the show ended that has the internet buzzing.

At the end of the hour, as the episode’s host, Mikey Madison, was giving thanks to all who made the show possible, Wallen is seen whispering something into the actress’ ear before stepping off stage, walking directly past the camera in front of him.

Generally, the cast sticks around as the show ends and the credit rolls to celebrate the conclusion of the episode.

While it’s not clear why the “Sand in My Boots” singer walked off the set, some media outlets have said sources told them it was an “oops” moment.

Entertainment Tonight reports that Wallen had practiced entering and exiting the studio that way during rehearsal and just walked that way again after hugging Madison.

Later, he made a post on his Instagram story that included a photo of his jet on the tarmac with the caption, “Get me to God’s country.”

Wallen performed two songs from his album entitled, “I’m the Problem.” The new album will be available on May 16.
