Police investigating hit-and-run crash near 63rd & Troost

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Police are investigating a hit-and-run crash that left a person with critical injuries Tuesday night.

It happened in the area of E. 63rd Street and Troost at 7:45 p.m.

The Kansas City, Missouri Police Department said a preliminary investigation revealed a motorcyclist was driving at a high rate of speed northbound from Meyer Boulevard on Troost.

At that time, a silver vehicle attempting to turn eastbound on 63rd from Troost resulted in a crash.

Police said the car then left eastbound on 63rd.

The motorcyclist was hospitalized with critical injuries.
