ODESSA, Mo. (KCTV) - Arrest warrants have been issued for two men believed to be behind a scheme that defrauded several Sedalia banks out of thousands of dollars.
Lafayette County, Missouri, Circuit Court records filed on Monday, March 31, indicate that Beaurain Willingham, 43, of Lexington, and Joshua B. Dodson, 41, of Kansas City, have been charged in connection with an alleged scheme to defraud several Sedalia banks.
A probable cause statement filed by the Odessa Police Department revealed that on Dec. 18, 2024, law enforcement officials were told that an individual attempted to cash a fraudulent check from a local business at several banks in Sedalia. A handful of them had successfully gone through.
