Charges filed against driver found in possession of deadly fentanyl/meth mixture

SEDALIA, Mo. (KCTV) - Narcotics charges have been filed against a man who had allegedly been in possession of a deadly fentanyl/methamphetamine mixture.

Pettis County, Missouri, Circuit Court records filed on Wednesday, April 2, indicate that Justin T. Lindsey, 34, of Windsor, faces multiple narcotics charges after an early-morning traffic stop.

A probable cause statement filed by the Pettis County Sheriff’s Office revealed that around 2:50 a.m. on Wednesday, law enforcement officials attempted to stop the driver of a Chevrolet Trailvlazer near Sacajawea Rd. and Highway 65, south of Sedalia. The license plate was ed to another vehicle.

During the stop, investigators said the driver was identified as Lindsey. He reported that he had no license and was taken into custody. During his arrest, it was found that Lindsey had been in possession of around 5.3 grams of a deadly fentanyl/methamphetamine mixture.

As a result, Lindsey was charged with trafficking drugs, possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. As of Saturday, April 5, he remains behind bars on a $125,000 bond.

A court appearance has been scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 8. No further information has been released.
