EAGLE COUNTY, Colo. (KKTV/Gray News) - Authorities in Colorado say they arrested a man driving with more than 100 pounds of cocaine earlier this week.

According to the Eagle County Sheriff’s Office, deputies pulled over a vehicle near mile marker 140 on Interstate 70 just before 10 a.m. Tuesday for not staying in its lane.

Deputies said some of the driver’s statements raised suspicions of criminal activity, prompting them to bring in a K-9.

The sheriff’s office said the K-9 signaled for the possible presence of drugs, so of the narcotic task force team searched the vehicle.

The sheriff’s office said deputies ended up finding 44 individually wrapped packages of cocaine, totaling up to 111 pounds.
