Investigation continues after woman kidnapped from Raytown found safe
RAYTOWN, Mo. (KCTV) - An investigation continues after a woman who was allegedly kidnapped from a Raytown gas station over the weekend was found safe.
The Raytown Police Department says that just after 4:05 p.m. on Sunday, April 6, law enforcement officials were called to the QuikTrip at 9323 E. 350 Highway with reports of a kidnapping. A witness reported that they had seen a man force a woman into the back seat of a vehicle at gunpoint.
Investigators asked for the community’s help to find a white 2019 Dodge Journey believed to be connected to the ongoing incident. The car had last been seen headed south, towards Elliot Place.
Investigators described the suspect as a Hispanic male in a red Chicago Bulls hat, red V-neck t-shirt, black pants, white high top shoes and a black backpack. He is believed to be armed with a gun.
Raytown Police said the victim is believed to be an Asian woman, possibly middle-aged or older. The Missouri State Highway Patrol announced that an Endangered Person Advisory had been issued in response. That advisory was canceled around 8 p.m. after the victim was found safely.
