(Gray News) – Chicco is recalling thousands of car seats that fail to properly restrain a child and increase the risk of injury in a crash.

According to a notice from the National Highway Traffic Safety istration, MyFit Zip Air Harness and Booster child restraint seats (CRS) with model numbers 07079561970070 and 04079561190070 are included in the recall.

Nearly 31,000 models are recalled with the production dates of Sept. 1, 2020 – Aug. 31, 2024.

In certain configurations, the child seat may allow excessive chest movement in a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
