Stop of stolen vehicle leads to discovery of narcotics in Shawnee

SHAWNEE, Kan. (KCTV) - The stop of a stolen vehicle in Shawnee led law enforcement officials to find narcotics hidden inside as well.
The Shawnee, Kansas, Police Department says that around 9 p.m. on Friday, April 11, law enforcement officials near 74th and Nieman Rd. spotted a vehicle believed to have been stolen.
Investigators said the driver was pulled over as it was confirmed that the blue Kia had recently been reported stolen. During the stop, narcotics and drug paraphernalia were also found.
As a result, two suspects, who remain unnamed, were taken into custody. No further information has been released.
