Investigation opened after missing child reported in Kearney
Parents have not come forward

KEARNEY, Mo. (KCTV) - Police in Kearney say an investigation into a possible missing child has opened; however, no parents with missing children have come forward.
The Kearney, Missouri, Police Department says that on Wednesday evening, April 16, dispatchers received a report that a child had possibly gone missing. As of 9:30 p.m., investigators had spoken with several residents in the area, however, the child in question was not found.
Law enforcement officials said they also had yet to receive a report from a parent that a child had gone missing. As investigators continue to receive updates, they will continue to vet every possibility.
