WARRENSBURG, Mo. (KCTV) - Two drivers and a enger were taken to a nearby hospital after two vehicles collided on a highway north of Warrensburg over the weekend.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol indicates that around 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 19, emergency crews were called to the area of NW 400th Rd. and Business Route 13, north of Warrensburg, with reports of a 2-vehicle crash.

When first responders arrived, they said they found a 25-year-old Warrensburg man had been attempting to several vehicles while driving uphill in a 2021 Toyota Camry.

Investigators indicated that a 37-year-old Warrensburg woman attempted to swerve the 2001 Ram 1500 she was driving out of the Camry’s way. However, the Camry swerved at the same moment and collided with the pickup.

Emergency crews said three of the individuals involved in the crash were taken to Western Missouri Medical Center - a female enger from the truck with life-threatening injuries, the pickup’s driver with serious but non-life-threatening injuries and the Camry’s driver with minor injuries.

State Troopers noted that the driver of the pickup was the only individual who had not been properly restrained at the time of the crash. Both vehicles sustained extensive damage.

No further information has been released.
