Kansas City, Kansas, police identify 20-year-old man shot, killed on Osage Avenue

KANSAS CITY, Kan. (KCTV) - The Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department is continuing to investigate a fatal shooting that took the life of 20-year-old Diego Segura-Barbazo of KCK on Sunday.

According to KCKPD, officers were called to the 900 block of Osage Avenue around 11:54 p.m. on Saturday, April 19, on reports of shots fired. When they arrived, they found a man lying dead outside with what appeared to be gunshot wounds. He was identified on April 22 as Segura-Barbazo.

The circumstances leading up to the shooting remain unclear, and KCKPD does not appear to have a person of interest at this time. Anyone with information is asked to call the Crime Stoppers TIPS hotline at 816-474-TIPS (8477). All tips remain anonymous and may qualify for a cash reward.
