KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - The Easter egg hunts were moved inside this year as the Easter Bunny brought heavy rain and flooding.

Thankfully, Union Station had plenty of festivities for families to enjoy.

Shawntai Owens said the weather put a damper on all their holiday plans.

“It actually messed it up for a lot of people,” Owens said. “They can’t go outside and play and find Easter eggs.”

So, she packed up her three kids and headed to Union Station, where they took pictures with the Easter Bunny and got plenty of fun treats.

“Grabbing the candy was definitely their favorite part,” Owens said.

Kids smiled from ear to ear as they lined up to take a picture with the Easter Bunny. Russell Stover provided chocolate, of course, with other festive photo ops and gave out free bunny ears.

“There’s always something fun to do here,” said Chelsea MacCann.

MacCann said her kids don’t mind the rain, even though they had to make some last-minute adjustments.

“We decided to come here to Harvey’s, we had a really good brunch,” McCann said. “They had a wonderful spread, and then we went into Science City.”

Even with the rain, it was a day full of smiles, families, and a whole lot of candy.
