Public health advisory issued in Johnson County, Olathe due to sewer line break
JOHNSON COUNTY, Kan. (KCTV) - Update: The public health advisory has been lifted as of May 5.
The Johnson County Department of Health and Environment (JCDHE) and Johnson County Wastewater (JCW) have issued a public health advisory to residents and businesses between Mill Creek Apartment Pond and 1900 Kansas City Road in Olathe.
This is because of a 10-inch sanitary sewer line break.
The break was discovered at midnight on April 25 and has been repaired. The sanitary sewer line is back in service.

However, elevated levels of E. coli led JCDHE to advise individuals to have no with the contaminated water in the area until further notice.
Residents are advised to keep their pets from ing any standing water in the affected areas.
This does not represent any impacts to the public water system, like tap water.
JCW will post signs in the area and will monitor this location. Water quality tests will be conducted to determine when the notice can be lifted.
