Kansas City teens learn critical skills through safe driver training classes
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Teen drivers were given the chance to brush up on their driving skills for free this weekend.
Ford Philanthropy teamed up with the Governors Highway Safety Association and MoDOT to bring free hands-on driving clinics to the metro.

Ford Driving Skills for Life is a program that pairs newly licensed or permitted drivers with professional driving instructors. Participants were given training that addresses factors influencing crashes, including distraction, impairment, speed management and vehicle handling.
“Ford has a long history in Kansas City. It’s where we manufacture the F-150 and Transit vehicles and employ approximately 9,000 people at our Kansas City Assembly Plant,” said Mobility Director Joe Provenzano with Ford Philanthropy. “This community has given so much to Ford and we’re thrilled to offer our program here.”

The program took place on April 26 and 27 at Manheim Kansas City.
