OVERLAND PARK, Kan. (KCTV) - A Kansas City man was killed early Sunday morning in a crash off Interstate 35, the Overland Park Police Department says.
According to OPPD, someone called the department around 3:49 a.m. on April 27 to report a person driving south on I-35 at a “high rate of speed.” Soon after, the same caller found the vehicle crashed under the eastbound Interstate 635 bridge.
The driver of the crashed vehicle, 34-year-old Nicolas Hawthorne, was taken to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he later died.
