Amazon Prime Air could land in Kansas City
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Amazon deliveries in Kansas City might look vastly different soon.
Spokesperson Andy DiOrio confirmed with KCTV5 Wednesday that the company is reviewing drone delivery options.

Amazon received final land use approval through the Kansas City, Missouri Planning Commission, and the Board of Zoning Adjustment in April.
According to the city, the company hopes to construct a Prime Air Drone Delivery Center at the corner of Botts Road and 149th Street. It will be at the same-day delivery facility.

The service launched in 2022 with the goal of delivering packages to customers in approximately 30 minutes.
The fast delivery option is only available to customers in Texas and Arizona, as of this report. In both states, Prime Air has received significant backlash.
Susan Weiss, an Arizona resident told KCTV5’s sister station KTVK, “What if it hit a cat or a pet or even landed on your car? It could be dangerous.”
DiOrio says the process is in the early planning stages, no date has been set.
More details will be shared as they become available.
