High school track coach accused of sexually assaulting student ‘nearly every day’
EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE/Gray News) - A high school teacher and track coach is accused of sexually assaulting a student “nearly every day,” according to authorities.
The Vanderburgh Sheriff’s Office issued an arrest warrant for North High School teacher and track coach Noah McBride. His charges include eight counts of child seduction, three counts of child solicitation, dissemination of matter harmful to minors, official misconduct, obstruction of justice and intimidation.
Authorities said that on Monday, the alleged victim spoke with officials and told them about multiple sexual interactions she had with McBride when she was 15 years old.
Deputies said the victim alleges that a few years ago, she and McBride had sexual intercourse nearly every day during the summer, except most weekends.
According to the sheriff’s office, the victim told officials she and McBride had sexual interactions at several places, including a hotel parking lot and a room at North High School.
The victim said that McBride would sometimes record their interactions with his cell phone.
The warrant alleges McBride never sent the victim any of the videos, but did send her an explicit photo of himself.
The victim told officials that McBride threatened her to clear his name two months before they stopped ing each other.
McBride has not yet been arrested.
