KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Law enforcement has reported the city’s 52nd homicide of 2025 and identified the victim involved.

The Kansas City Police Department stated Friday morning that officers responded to the area of 11th Street and Wyandotte Street after 2:30 a.m. on Friday.

KD stated that officers responded to the report of a body inside a parking garage.

Law enforcement relayed that the body of the victim had “obvious signs of bodily trauma,” and medical personnel pronounced the person dead at the scene.

The victim was later identified as 22-year-old Russell Mason.
