KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Patrick Mahomes is a surefire Pro Football Hall-of-Famer. In fact, the three-time Super Bowl champion and two-time NFL MVP will almost assuredly be a first-ballot Hall-of-Famer when he goes into Canton.

But this Saturday, Mahomes will be enshrined in another Hall of Fame. The 29-year-old is part of the Texas High School Football Hall of Fame’s Class of 2025.

The class includes Mahomes and former Baylor star quarterback Robert Griffin III.

This week, Dave Campbell’s shared a Hall of Fame video essay on Mahomes. In it, the narrator said “The Texas High School Football Hall of Fame recognizes those who impacted the game beyond compare in a state where excellence is the standard.”

Mahomes was a 3-star prospect according to recruiting services following a standout career at Whitehouse High School in Whitehouse, Texas. Mahomes threw for more than 8,000 yards and 90 touchdowns during his final two seasons prior to enrolling at Texas Tech.

Saturday’s induction ceremony will be held in Waco, Texas, and is a private event.
