Kansas City restaurants raise $30k for KCFD’s Graham Hoffman scholarship
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Several restaurants in the Kansas City area pledged 10 percent of their earnings on Saturday to honor the life of a paramedic killed in the line of duty.
On Friday morning, the Greater Kansas City Restaurant Association announced that the participating businesses raised $30,000 for the Graham Hoffman Scholarship Fund.

The scholarships will go to people pursuing accredited firefighter or paramedic training programs in the Kansas City metro area.
Hoffman died on April 27 after he was stabbed by a patient in the back of an ambulance. The woman charged with his death also attacked Hoffman’s partner, according to police.
HeroFundUSA was involved in an effort to raise money to fund the scholarship created in honor of Hoffman.
Since Hoffman’s tragic death, people from around the world have shown love and for his family.
Joe Eddings, owner of E2 Embroidery and Screen Printing and retired KCFD firefighter, made a shirt in honor of Hoffman. The shirt is $15, and all the proceeds will go directly to the Hoffman family. The last day to purchase the shirt is May 9.
