KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - The Kansas City Royals said right-handed pitcher Kyle Wright experienced shoulder fatigue during a recent rehab assignment.

Wright made two appearances with the Double-A Northwest Arkansas Naturals, starting games on May 2 and May 7. Over the two games, Wright pitched 6 innings, allowing 7 hits and 5 earned runs in games against the Springfield Cardinals and Wichita Wind Surge.

“Our tentative plan is to skip a start or two and have him back out soon,” the Royals said Friday.

Wright was placed on the injured list prior to the season as he continues to recover from shoulder surgery that led to him missing the entire 2024 season.

Kansas City traded for him in a deal with the Atlanta Braves in November 2023.
