CHILLICOTHE, Mo. (KCTV) - An incident involving a substitute bus driver is under investigation by authorities in Chillicothe.

On Friday, several students reported a substitute bus driver made inappropriate and threatening statements to engers, police said.

D said the school district immediately ed police and removed the driver from duty.

“The bus driver has been placed on istrative leave pending a full investigation,” a t press release from the school district and police department said Friday.

“The safety of our students is our highest priority. We are taking these allegations extremely seriously and are cooperating fully with law enforcement,” the district said.

Students who were on the bus are being interviewed and “all available evidence” is being reviewed, according to the district and police department.

“We want to assure parents that appropriate action will be taken based on the findings of our investigation,” they said.
