Argument outside Kansas City apartment complex escalates to deadly shooting

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - An apartment complex in south Kansas City turned into a crime scene Saturday evening.
Kansas City police responded to a call about a shooting around 8 p.m.
Officers arrived at an apartment complex near Bannister Road and U.S. 71 Highway and found a man who had been shot.
Officers performed R on the victim until paramedics arrived at the scene. They transported the victim to a hospital where he died from his injuries.
On Monday, he was identified as Morgan William, 20.
Police believe an argument in the parking lot of the complex escalated to the shooting. Detectives canvassed the apartment complex for witnesses.
