KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - The stars were out at KC Stadium on Sunday afternoon to watch the KC Current‘s 4-1 win over Bay FC.

To lead the Current’s traditional pregame KC Baby! chant, two actors from the hit TV series “Ted Lasso” took the microphone and belted out the chant over the PA system.

Sudeikis, who is from the Kansas City area, plays Coach Ted Lasso, while Hunt was cast as Ted’s sidekick assistant Coach Beard.

The Current improved to 6-2 on the season with goals from Bia Zaneratto, Debinha and reigning league MVP Temwa Chawinga.

Following the game’s conclusion, Current head coach Vlatko Andonovski was asked about Sudeikis’ appearance at the game.

“He’s the one I’m getting coaching tips from,” Andonovski said with a smile. “He’s my inspiration.”

Andonovski added how enjoyable it is to have celebrities the Current gives the organization even more inspiration to perform well.
