‘Chiefsaholic’ sentenced to multiple decades in prison by Oklahoma judge
TULSA, Okla. (KCTV) - The man widely known as ‘Chiefsaholic’ was sentenced Monday for his role in an Oklahoma bank robbery from December 2022.
A Tulsa County judge found Xaviar Babudar guilty of one count of robbery with a firearm, one count of assault while masked or disguised and one count of removing an electronic monitoring device.
He received a sentence of 32 years in the Oklahoma Department of Corrections.
Babudar’s charges were the result of an armed robbery at the Tulsa Teacher’s Credit Union in Bixby, Oklahoma. During the robbery, Babudar pointed a gun at a bank teller’s chest and demanded the woman take him to the vault.
Bixby police were called and took him into custody while he was riding a bike through a neighborhood shortly after the robbery. During an investigation, it was determined he used a BB gun for the armed robbery.
“The violence that Babudar exhibited to the employees of the Tulsa Teacher Credit Union was abhorrent,” said Tulsa County District Attorney Steve Kunzweiler. “He is a serial robber who traumatized these victims and numerous other victims across this country.”
Babudar’s bond was lowered less than two months following his arrest and he bonded out of jail on Feb. 8, 2023. In March of 2023 he removed his ankle monitor and failed to appear for a March 27 court date. In July 2023 he was apprehended by federal authorities in California.
A federal investigation previously linked Babudar to multiple robberies across the country. He pleaded guilty in federal court and was sentenced to 17 and a half years in federal prison in September 2024.
The Tulsa County judge made Babudar’s 32-year sentence concurrent to his federal sentence. That means Babudar will be transferred to Oklahoma to serve his remaining 14 and a half years in state prison after his federal sentence expires.
In November, Prime Video released a true-crime documentary detailing Babudar’s story as a Kansas City Chiefs superfan and serial bank robber.
