Missouri woman killed, 19-year-old seriously injured in head-on crash

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - The Missouri State Highway Patrol says two women were involved in a serious crash on Monday.
Emergency responders were called to the scene around 10:13 a.m. on May 12.
According to a report, a 34-year-old Smithville, Missouri, woman was driving east on Missouri Route 92 toward Kearney when she crossed the center line as she crested a hill. The woman’s Chevrolet Malibu hit an oncoming Nissan Sentra head-on.
MSHP said the Smithville woman was not wearing a seatbelt and later died of her injuries at Liberty Hospital. Her next of kin was notified, but her identity has not been released.
The 19-year-old driving the Nissan Sentra was reportedly wearing a seatbelt and was taken to Liberty Hospital with serious injuries. Her current condition is unknown.
