Northland 6-car pileup sends several children to hospital with minor injuries

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Six cars were involved in a chain-reaction crash during Monday evening’s rush hour.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the crash at 5:10 p.m. on May 12 on Missouri Route 152, east of NE Shoal Creek Parkway.
According to a report, it happened after a woman in a Jeep Wrangler rear-ended a Buick Envista in front of her, pushing the Buick into the back of a third car. The Jeep continued forward and sideswiped a fourth car before rear-ending a fifth, which pushed it into a sixth and final car.
Three children riding in the fifth car, one three-year-old and two four-year-olds, were taken to Children’s Mercy Hospital with minor injuries. No other injuries were reported.
MSHP noted that none of the cars were totaled in the crash, but three had moderate damage, two of which required towing.
