KANSAS CITY, Kan. (KCTV) - Three children were hospitalized late Tuesday night after they were involved in a rollover crash, the Kansas Highway Patrol reported.

KHP responded to the crash on westbound K-10 Highway shortly before 11 p.m. on May 13.

A report states that “for an unknown reason,” a 32-year-old Topeka, Kansas, woman veered off the left side of the road. This caused her Ford Explorer to roll into a ditch before coming to a rest on its roof.

The driver was reportedly wearing her seatbelt and suffered minor injuries. She received treatment in a nearby hospital.

Three children in the car, however, were not reported to be wearing safety restraints. Two of the children, a 10-year-old boy and an eight-year-old girl, had suspected serious injuries. A four-year-old boy had minor injuries. All three were taken to Children’s Mercy Hospital.
