Chiefs, Eagles to meet in Super Bowl rematch at Arrowhead in Week 2
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - The Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles are set to meet in a Super Bowl LIX rematch in September.
The NFL announced Wednesday that the two franchises that have met in two of the past three Super Bowls will play in Week 2 of the 2025 NFL season.
FOX will broadcast the game, and it will kick off at 3:25 p.m. CST on Sunday, Sept. 14.
In February, Philadelphia defeated Kansas City 40-22 in a Super Bowl thrashing in New Orleans. The matchup at Arrowhead this fall will feature the two quarterbacks who have combined to win each of the last three Super Bowl MVP trophies with Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts starring in the game.

Two seasons ago in November of 2023, the Eagles met the Chiefs in a Monday Night Football game at Arrowhead Stadium. Philadelphia won that matchup 20-17 in a defensive battle that is ed by most Chiefs fans for a missed touchdown catch by Chiefs wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling.
That game also came in the season that followed a Chiefs Super Bowl LVII victory over the Eagles. It was also the final game featuring Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and his brother, Eagles center Jason Kelce.
