Chiefs trip to Brazil a welcome sight for 1 member of Chiefs Kingdom
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - The announcement of Kansas City’s Week 1 trip to Brazil could be a bit of a homecoming for one member of Chiefs Kingdom.
Ellen Araujo Bricker is originally from Sao Paolo, Brazil. Now, she lives near St. Louis, Missouri.
She started watching the Chiefs play on TV and fell in love with football. Her husband, an estranged St. Louis Rams fan, helped her understand the rules and strategy better. In the process, he became a Chiefs fan, too.
“We have a huge, huge Chiefs fan crowd in Brazil,” she told KCTV Wednesday evening. “You got to be ready for a lot of noise, a lot of love, because that’s what we like. We like to cheer, we like to be loud, and we like to have a good time.”

The game will be played on Friday, Sept. 5 and be broadcast on YouTube.
Araujo Bricker said she needs to get her travel visa figured out before she can go but she remains hopeful that will happen.
