SILVER ALERT UPDATE: Kansas officials find missing 81-year-old woman’s car

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. (KCTV) - The Overland Park Police Department has updated its silver alert regarding an elderly woman who has been missing for several days.
Jerry McConnell, 81, is 5′6 and approximately 140 pounds with blue eyes and gray hair.
In their initial report, OPD said McConnell was last seen on May 14, 2025, in Harrisonville, Missouri, driving to her home in Overland Park, Kansas. On the afternoon of Thursday, May 15, OPD said her car may have been seen near Severy, Kansas.
According to new information, McConnell’s car, a grey 2009 Honda Accord, was found empty in Cowley County, Kansas, on May 21.
Deputies are currently searching the area for McConnell.
