5 cars damaged in motel parking lot after driver loses control on nearby interstate

KANSAS CITY, Kan. (KCTV) - Four people were hospitalized Sunday afternoon after they were involved in a crash on Interstate 70.
The Kansas Highway Patrol said that around 3:30 p.m. on May 18, a 22-year-old woman was driving east on I-70 when she experienced a medical issue.
She lost control of her Toyota Corolla and went off the side of the road and into a ditch, hitting a guardrail. The car continued through a fence and into the parking lot of the American Motel next to I-70.
KHP said that while in the parking lot, the Toyota hit a second car before rolling over and landing between a third and fourth car. A fifth car was damaged by a piece that came off the Toyota.
The driver and three engers, ages 17, 71 and 77, were taken to KU Medical Center with possible injuries, but none were reported as serious. All were wearing their seatbelts.
Three of the cars, including the Toyota, were towed from the scene with undisclosed damage.
