‘Click It or Ticket’ campaign begins nationwide, advocating for safer driving

OLATHE, Kan. (KCTV) - The National Highway Traffic Safety istration’s yearly “Click It or Ticket” campaign is now in full swing.

Law enforcement agencies across the country participate in the annual campaign, which runs through Memorial Day Weekend. It focuses specifically on seatbelt usage, emphasizing that proper usage saves lives.

From May 19 – June 1, drivers will see more police officers on the streets checking for violations, seatbelt-related or otherwise.

In 2024, the Overland Park Police Department reported issuing more than 120 citations during the campaign period, saying, “Our goal is to make the roads safer for you and those you share the road with.”
