Former Sporting KC midfielder Gadi Kinda dies at 31
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - A former Sporting Kansas City midfielder has died following a “complex medical battle.”
Gadi Kinda, who ed Sporting KC in 2020 and played with the club through 2023, died at the age of 31.
“During his four seasons...Gadi was a fan favorite for his outstanding play on the field, his ion for the sport, and his spirit of kindness and his generosity to everyone around him. We extend our deepest sympathies to Gadi’s family, friends, fans, and everyone with Sporting Kansas City,” the club released in a statement.
Just 10 days ago, Sporting KC posted on social media that it was ing Kinda.
Kinda’s current club, Maccabi Haifa, announced on May 6 that Kinda he had been hospitalized while “going through a complex medical battle in recent weeks.” The exact diagnosis has not been disclosed.
Kinda, who, although born in Ethiopia played for the Israeli national team due to his family’s immigration, made 80 appearances for Sporting KC and amassed 16 goals while totaling 17 assists.
