Missouri man arrested on child sex crimes charges filed in California

TRENTON, Mo. (KCTV) - A Missouri man who was wanted by law enforcement officials in California for several child sex crimes that reach as far back as 2012 is now behind bars.

Grundy County, Missouri, Circuit Court records filed on Saturday, May 17, indicate that Michael Deyoe, 28, of Trenton, has been arrested on child sex crimes charges filed against him in California.

A probable cause statement filed by the Trenton Police Department revealed that on Saturday, while investigating a separate matter, law enforcement officials learned that Deyoe had been wanted on six felony counts of lewd acts with a child under the age of 14.

San Luis Obispo County, California, court records noted that charges were filed against Deyoe in February 2025 for offenses that allegedly occurred between 2012 and 2020.

An arraignment has been scheduled in California for 8:30 a.m. on June 16. As of Tuesday, May 20, Deyoe remains behind bars with no bond listed.
