KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Kansas City Royals reliever Sam Long is set to begin a rehab assignment on Tuesday.

The Royals announced that Long will begin a rehab assignment in Arizona as the team begins a 3-game series in the Bay Area against the San Francisco Giants.

Long was placed on the 15-day injured list in mid-April due to left elbow inflammation. The left-handed reliever struggled early in the season.
