JOHNSON COUNTY, Mo. (KCTV) - Two Kansas City, Kansas, men were taken to the hospital on Tuesday after they were involved in a rollover crash.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the crash around 4:45 p.m. on May 20, just south of Powell Gardens.

Troopers learned that a 26-year-old KCK man was driving on westbound U.S. Route 50 when he went off the left side and hit a Missouri Department of Transportation sign. He swerved his 2000 Ford Ranger back onto the road, but it overturned.

MSHP said the driver was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected, causing moderate injuries. His 43-year-old enger was wearing a seatbelt and suffered only minor injuries. Paramedics took both men to a hospital in Warrensburg.

The Ford was reportedly totaled in the crash and towed from the scene.
