KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Monday brought severe storms to the greater Kansas City area, and even a pair of tornadoes.

The National Weather Service confirmed on Wednesday that an EF-0 tornado struck Buchanan County, while an EF-1 tornado impacted Henry County.

The organization also said there was widespread straight-line wind damage across far Southeast Henry County.

A tornado survey in Buchanan County said the EF-0 tornado began south of St. Joseph and tracked to the east/northeast. Tree damage and minor roof damage was noted for that tornado, with an estimated peak wind of 85 miles per hour and a path length of 4.3 miles.

There were no fatalities and no known injuries in relation to the tornadoes.
