Current place defender Alana Cook on season-ending injury list

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Kansas City Current defender Alana Cook was placed on the season-ending injury list Thursday as she begins recovery from a significant knee injury.
The club said Cook suffered a torn ACL, MCL and meniscus. She suffered the injury on May 16 during a match against the Orlando Pride.
Cook was acquired by the Current in a midseason trade with Seattle in 2024. She’d made appearances for the U.S. Women’s National Team as well.
The club said she will begin her rehab process immediately.
