Pedestrian hit, driver flees on I-435 ramp

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Late Thursday night, around 11 p.m., Kansas City police responded to calls of a walker hit on the interstate.
It happened at the I-435 N ramp and I-70 westbound.
Upon arrival, police found a person lying lifeless with no driver in sight.
Preliminary investigation shows that a pedestrian was crossing the highway when they were fatally struck by an unknown vehicle that left the scene.
Police continue to investigate. If anyone saw the incident, they are asked to KD or TIPS hotline and 816-474-8477.
